Grab a drink or a bite to eat\, and enjoy an art class in a secret space. \nJoin us in the Secret Library Room at Walter Studios for a unique art workshop! \nCardboard has become a popular medium for artists who are interested in using materials that would otherwise be discarded. In this class we will be recycling cardboard into abstract sculptures using a simple slotting technique. Pieces can include geometric or more organic forms\, in a symmetrical or random structure. Color may be added to the pieces with paint or markers or you may prefer the look of raw cardboard. \nNote: This workshop is suitable for all ages\, so bring along your loved ones for a delightful artistic experience together. \nClick here for tickets

DESCRIPTION:Join us in the Walter Art Gallery for an art workshop with special guest artist\, Andrea Merican where we will create colorful and creative abstract paintings! You will be immersed and inspired by Andrea Merican’s exhibit\, “Metamorphosis: Abstract Expressions in Watercolor and Oil” which will be displayed in the gallery\, and you will be taught by the artist herself! This class is for ages 16 and up. \nIn this class\, we will explore abstract or non-representational art using a variety of materials such as watercolor\, pencil and pen. We will let loose and follow our intuition to create a work of art that is uniquely ours\, reflecting our own thoughts or feelings. DESCRIPTION:Join The Walter Hive in their maker-space for a ceramics workshop! Learn about the therapeutic benefits of working with clay and create a ceramic bowl made from fresh botanicals – such as a cabbage leaf. No experience is necessary and instruction and materials will be provided. This class is for ages 11 and up. \n*Note – in this workshop you will work with raw clay to create your piece and leave it at Walter Hive to be fired in our kiln.  A green glaze will then be applied by us and then fired again.  You will be able to pick up your artwork after October 16th. \nFor safety\, please bring closed toe shoes\, an wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. \nClick Here for Tickets

Grab a drink or a bite to eat\, and enjoy an art class in a secret space. \nJoin us in the Secret Library Room at Walter Studios for a workshop based on the mesmerizing artwork of M.C. Escher\, led by Mary Strawn. \nIn this class\, we will focus on creating patterns and connections through a unique process known as tessellating. Tessellations are any patterns made of repeating shapes that cover a surface without leaving any gaps.
